WHAT AREÂ FENCE VENT DISCS
RECYCLED MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURED IN THE UK
Rainwater, ground splashes and airborne dirt accumulate on the lowest rail of the fence panel and also between the gravel board and the base, where it becomes trapped.

These areas have little or no accommodation for natural flushing through by periodic rain fall or wind and therefore the dirt retains moisture and create an ideal environment for fungus and moss to form which in turn further adds to the water retention. These areas can create a habitat in which wood damaging invertebrates can thrive.
Fence Vent creates a 6mm slot which is not easily visible and not detrimental to the fence, yet it serves as an invaluable enhancement to the longevity of the fence structure.

Stainless steel pins ensure a secure fixing is maintained throughout the life of the fence. The sloping upper surface of the spacer disc guides water away while the ribs support the panel.

ADDITIONAL USE
When using traditional Arris rail mounted featheredge boarding over wooden gravel boards, nail several discs spaced along the gravel board.
These will give a guide for mounting the featheredge strips with a controlled air gap. The spacers act to support sections between posts through the boarding to prevent sagging of the Arris rails over time due to the suspended weight. Such distortions of unsupported sections would usually cause this desired air gap to close.

HOW WILL THESE HELP ME?
RECYCLED MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURED IN THE UK
Fence Vent is a spacing element which provides a small area between the panel and the gravel board allowing water droplets to removed cleanly from the base of the fence panel by natural forces. Furthermore, the space allows clear air to pass between the top of the gravel board and the base of the fence panel. Such free passage of air has both a cleaning and drying effect on the base of the panel and the top of the gravel board.
